This month we started our school wide daily physical activity (DPA).  Our grade 8 leaders lead us through many fun physical activities in our classroom.  We do chicken jacks, head-2-toe, raising the roof, row the boat and many others. All of these get our hearts pumping and our brains ready for a day of learning.

Today in health with Ms. Walton we learned how to wash our hands:  wet hands, soap, rub hands for 10 seconds, rinse and dry.  We also sang a song to make handwashing fun. It’s never too early to learn healthy habits!

During our spider inquiry we learned that a spider has 2 main body parts.  We also learned that the reason spiders don’t stick to their webs was because they have oil on the bottom of their legs.  We wanted to make our own spider, complete  with all the body parts, so we created him out of paper mache.  We also used yarn to create a web hanging from our ceiling to hang our spider on.
